I’ve already written one Hipster Hack back in 2020 for Lolito Cantina, but that was two years ago and it’s still one of our favorite places so it definitely deserved an update!

Appetizer:

Guacamole

Their guac is delicious and their homemade chips are the perfect level of salty. There are four different types to choose from:

• Classic Guacamole
• Roasted Garlic Guacamole
• Charred Tomatillo Guacamole
• Bacon & Habanero Guacamole

Main Course:

Smoked Chicken Quasadilla with Salse Verde: Queso Oaxaca, Cotija, Mexican Crema, Flour-corn tortilla

I love their quesadilla. They allow you an option to order it “Minnesota Nice” without the chilis too which cracks me up.

Pork Belly Tacos: Queso, Chipotle Aioli, Salpicon, Cilantro

Fiance got the Pork Belly tacos. Pork Belly is what he calls “sexy bacon.” It’s a little too fatty for me, but he assured me it was cooked to perfection.

Argentinian Red Shrimp Burrito Bowl: Rice, Black Beans, Avocado, Sweet Corn, Salsa Fresca, Red Onion, Cilantro, Flour Tortilla

My mom ordered the shrimp burrito bowl and she was obsessed.

Drinks:

Titos + Soda with a Lime (I know I’m boring)

Like with all of their restaurants, their cocktails are super fun. My mom got the margarita and loved it. I stuck to a classic, becuase we get married at the end of the month and I’m trying to be good about calories so I actually fit in my wedding dress lol

Atmosphere/Service:

I was excited that we got to sit at the booth by the window. In the words of Dwight Schrute from the Office, we were the “money beets.” hahaha

The service was great as always. The only negative about this building is that the bathroom is located upstairs so it makes it a little less accessible.
