I was excited to try a new brunch spot based off a recommendation from one of my coworkers. She loves brunch as much as I do, so when she recommended Harriet Brasserie, I knew it was worth a try! Luckily, I also have some great copilots who were game as well! Continue reading
Uptown Minneapolis
Activites and places located in Uptown Minneapolis
Red Cow | Uptown Minneapolis
StandardA couple weeks ago I was giddy when I realized it was #NationalGrilledCheeseDay. My giddiness amplified when I texted my friend to meet for lunch and she happened to be at Red Cow in Uptown Minneapolis…exactly the place that a couple coworkers told me that same morning had a phenomenal Grilled Cheese. Clearly I was meant to have this Grilled Cheese (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it).
Blue Door Pub | Uptown Minneapolis
StandardMy life was changed on April 4th at 4:09 PM when a photo of Blue Door Pub‘s Lobster Mac Totchos appeared in my timeline. It took two weeks to get there (yes, those 2 weeks were pure agony and no, I do not think I am being overdramatic…ok maybe a little), but we finally made it and while it was worth the wait, I wouldn’t recommend waiting too much longer, since it’s a limited time special! Revival Restaurant | Minneapolis
StandardRevival Restaurant in Minneapolis is 1.2 miles away from my apartment. It is literally only 6336 feet away and it has taken me a year and a half to finally eat there. I cannot even count how many times I’ve heard this restaurant referenced and I am baffled that I did not realize how close it really was!
Revival’s menu is southern cuisine to it’s core and it’s crowning jewel is fried chicken.
Pat’s Tap Gastropub | Minneapolis
StandardI am a Pat’s Tap Gastropub regular and have been for years, but now, living a mere 4 blocks from there, it’s my go-to suggestion for anyone who wants to meet me out.
This Hipster Hack is not going to give it justice, because I have been there a LOT and it’s only reflecting one meal, but not having one up about this place just felt wrong!
Loppet Nordic Racing
StandardI’m going to start this entry with an apology, considering the Loppet Nordic Racing event was 3 months ago, BUT since it’s definitely an event I think you should get on your calendars for next year, I’m going to go ahead and sing it’s praises anyway!

StandardThe Libertine in Uptown Minneapolis is the brainchild of Chef Tim McKee and is located in the old Cafeteria building. It’s an absolutely perfect rooftop location for a post shopping Sunday brunch. Continue reading
Eat Street Social | Minneapolis
StandardRecently two of my favorites, Brad & Lisa, decided to make their relationship legal so our friend, Nicole, organized an engagement party for them at Eat Street Social. Nicole had a pretty hard time finding a restaurant that could accommodate our party of 20, so when she called Eat Street she was extremely pleased that the manager, Jaren, not only went above and beyond to help us make this engagement party a possibility, but also organized our use of “The Torpedo Room,” event space.
Bite Squad
StandardAllow me to introduce you to Bite Squad! If you live in the cities and love trying new food from the comfort of your own home, you should know about this service.
Gone are the days of delivery only being Chinese or pizza (and I don’t just mean Burger King), now you can have food delivered from basically any restaurant who offers take-out as long as you live in the one of the following cities: Minneapolis/St. Paul, Seattle, Las Vegas, Miami, or Austin.
*Fun Fact: Minneapolis is the OG of Bite Squad
If you live in NE Minneapolis HERE IS A LIST of all the restaurants that Bite Squad will pick up from. Continue reading
Open Streets MPLS
StandardOpen Streets MPLS announced their 2015 schedule and although I know it’s extremely early, especially since we just got dumped on with a random snow storm, I need reminders like this to realize that spring, is in fact, here.
Open Streets MPLS is the brainchild of the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition and was organized with the intent of allowing the people of Minneapolis to experience their city on non-motorized wheels.
If you don’t have a bike this would be a great time to check out the Nice Ride MN program, or participate the old fashioned way; on foot. Continue reading
