When my friend suggested we try out Dario for our April friendship dinner I was ecstatic because I had seen so many articles and posts about their pasta.
Spoiler Alert: They did not disappoint.
Snacks:

Oysters Dario: 1/2 Dozen with spicy beef tartare and frozen lime
I was definitely not sure what to expect with this flavor combination, but the lime aftertaste was perfection.

Marinated Beets: Sauce gribiche, dill pickle chips
The presentation here was unmatched. My friend pointed out that the beets are even shaped in long pasts noodles which I didn’t catch haha. The dill chips were also the perfect crucnh and vinegar taste.

Ricotta Dumpling: Maitake mushroom, pecorino
These dumplings were like ricotta clouds. I would definitely recommend you are sure to include some of the mushroom into every bite, because it elevates the flavor profile.

Spaghetti alla Chitarra Limone: Blue crab, Calabrian chili, meyer lemon
My friend got the spaghetti which was one of the spicy dishes according to our server. She let me try it and I would agree that it was spicy (too spicy for me to have a whole dish haha), but the flavor was really good.
Drinks:

Sparkling Jade: Copenhagen sparkling tea, Dry Wit Salinger, apple cider vinegar
I decided to go the NA route and absolutely loved the Sparking Jade cocktail. The vinegar is very subtle.
Atmosphere:

The restaurant itself had a hipster diner feel which was cool. Parking is non-existant so either plan to get there early to park on Washington and walk or come ready to valet!

We also ended up getting the dessert special which I cannot remember what it was, but it had carmel and apple and pudding and we were able to crack the top like flambe.
Overall the food was fantastic and I’m excited to go back and try more.
