Hope Breakfast Bar has been on my list for years so I was very excited when it was suggested as the location for our girls brunch.

Kennedy’s Cafe | Somerset, WI
StandardWe had a girls day that started off with us playing Purse Bingo at The Sportsman to raise money for the Somerset Community Food Shelf and then headed over to Kennedy’s Cafe for lunch. Such a cute little diner.
Continue readingW.A. Frost and Co. | St. Paul, MN
StandardI’ve tried and failed in past summers to get onto W.A. Frost and Company‘s patio and I was not going to make that same mistake this year. Their patio is continuously listed on the top patios of the Twin Cities and it is clear why!
Continue readingHandsome Hog | St. Paul, MN
StandardWe are having the best summer finally experiencing restaurants we’ve been talking about going to for what feels like ever. After two years of pandemic takeout and sticking to the same places (some would say sticking to the rivers and the lakes that we’re used to #IYKYK) it just feels like we’re finally getting back to experiencing life.
I’m embarrassed to say that Handsome Hog has been on my list since it was in its first location so it’s taken me damn near a decade to get there 🤦♀️. I’m happy to report, that brunch was everything I’ve been dreaming it would be, but jokes on me, because now Handsome Hog is back on the list for dinner.
Continue readingTongue in Cheek | St. Paul, MN
StandardHello friends! It’s been a really long time and to catch you up to speed, I haven’t been writing full on blogs about my food adventures, but I have been featuring them on my Instagram and my Facebook page, so if you’re wondering where I’ve been or looking for more recent restaurants, you can still find great new locations! I’ve recently changed jobs and have had a few life changes, so the itch to get back to posting on my blog has been growing and after we went to brunch at Tongue in Cheek, it didn’t feel right not to sit down and give it the true homage that it deserved; 250 words 😂
A friend of mine, who is even more obsessed with good food than I am, has been raving about Tongue in Cheek for years, specifically their brunch. So when my fiance and I (that’s one of those life changes I referred to 😂) decided to pre-celebrate our birthdays with brunch it was a no brainer for me to scoop up a reservation. It beyond lived up to the hype and I can’t wait to go back for dinner!
Continue readingThe New Woodbury Cafe | Woodbury, Minnesota
StandardI was excited to have an impromptu brunch with my friend Lisa when we both happened to be in Woodbury at the same time and I was even more excited when she suggested The New Woodbury Cafe since I had not been there yet.
Lakes Tavern and Grill | Woodbury Lakes, Minnesota
StandardBecause of boyfriend’s work schedule, I’ve been spending a lot of time over on his end of town, which means a lot of my weekends have been spent on the East side, more specifically in Woodbury. I’ve made it my mission for us to try out all the different Woodbury brunch options there are. We had actually been to Lakes Tavern and Grill previously for a lunch and found it satisfactory (nothing bad, but nothing that blew us away) so when my friend said that it is his go-to brunch spot I was willing to try it out.
Keys Cafe & Bakery | Woodbury, Minnesota
StandardWhile anyone who follows me on Instagram has probably figured out that I’ve become a regular at Not Justa Cafe’s Sunday Brunch, we were on a bit of a time crunch and trying to stay near boyfriend’s house. With the demise/closing of the Perkins a couple months ago we were at a loss until we remembered Key’s Cafe & Bakery and how everytime we drive by it we say, “we should go there.” Well, mission finally completed.
Not Justa Cafe and Bar | Bayport, Minnesota
StandardThe “Not Justa” family has been growing over the years. Starting with Not Justa Cafe in Bayport almost 20 years ago, NJ’s has been a staple for weekend brunch with lines out the door. They’ve since expanded with locations in Somerset, New Richmond, and opened up “Not Justa Bar” next to the original NJ Cafe in Bayport…naturally this location is my favorite, because they serve liquor and I live for a brunch cocktail!
Harriet Brasserie | Minneapolis
StandardI was excited to try a new brunch spot based off a recommendation from one of my coworkers. She loves brunch as much as I do, so when she recommended Harriet Brasserie, I knew it was worth a try! Luckily, I also have some great copilots who were game as well! Continue reading
