When my cousin suggested we grabbed dinner at Lat14 Asian Eatery I was all in, because back before it opened I would drive by it to and from work everyday just waiting to go…and then, as happens, I got a new job and was never on that side of town again. So I’m almost embarrassed to say this is my first time there, but better late than never!

Snacks:

Lumpia: Filipino Pork Eggroll, Sweet Chili Dipping Sauce

I LOVE lumpia. Love love love it. These ones were no exception. I am also someone who doesn’t love to get their hands dirty so it was nice to have an excuse to use a fork and knife to cut these in half haha.

Pad Thai with Fried Tofu: Scallion, Bean Sprouts, Pickled Sweet Radish, Peanuts, Lat14 Pad Thai Sauce

Fried Garlic Green Beans: Stir Fried Green Beans, Chinese Broccoli, Sweet Seasoned Soy Sauce, Crispy Garlic & Shallots

You cannot go wrong with a good pad thai. The seasoning on this one was on the sweeter side which was nice, because I’m a huge spice baby. I would definitely recommend the fried tofu as your protein, too.

We also added on the fried garlic green beans to share and I’m very happy with that choice.

I’m not seeing this one listed on the cocktail menu, so I’m thinking it may be a featured cocktail. It was really good and I hope they keep it always!

Atmosphere:

We ate on the patio and were the only ones, probably because it was a bit windy, but the patio is definitely beautiful and I can envision myself back there soaking up the sun…and some more sakitinis.

Our server was very friendly and the food was cooked to perfection.
