I very much thought Saint Dinette would be a French restaurant so it’s safe to say I was confused when I looked at the menu online. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t turned off by it’s lack of French fair, but more intrigued about it’s eclectic menu that, to be honest, doesn’t seem super cohesive to me on paper, but the the flavors were fantastic.
Snacks:

Crudite: Seasonal vegetables with aioli
This aioli was absolutely delightful. I ate so much of it and would have gladly continued to stuff my face.

Bologna Sandwich: Cheddar Cheese and Pickles
I was teetering on the burger, steak and the bologna sandwich and in the end decided to go with the bologna, because that is not something I’ve seen on another menu and not something I’d prepare for myself. It was hearty and felt elevated for being such a basic food.

Walleye Meuniere: Beurre Blanc, Capers, Parsley, Lemon
My friend had the walleye at the recommendation of the server. I forgot to ask her thoughts, but she ate it all so safe to say it was good!
Drinks:

Canadian Cold Press: Bourbon, Luxardo Amaro Abano, Maple, House-made Cold Press
I love a coffee cocktail so when I saw “Canadian Cold Press” I was intrigued. The server let me know that this is the only original drink still on their menu. It was as expected except for the maple syrup flavoring! Would gladly drink this again.
Atmosphere/Service:

Pro Tip – make sure you check the Saint Paul Saints schedule when you’re planning to go. We were dumb and ended up going the same time there was a game, which made finding street parking difficult and lots expensive, but I lucked out and scored parking right around the corner!
Our server was attentive and the food was good. Like I said, the menu confused me a bit and there wasn’t anything on it that I’m dying to try, but if someone suggested going back I wouldn’t say no!
