Melt Pizza Company Stillwater Minnesota
Standard

When I saw that Lolito was moving locations in downtown Stillwater I was immediately interested to hear what was going into it’s spot. Over the years this particular spot in Stillwater has changed hands and concepts quite a few times, but I feel like it finally found the right match with Melt Pizza Company

Snacks:

Lumpias: Filipino Spring Roll with Pork Blend, Veggies, Herbs and Apple Cider Vinegar

The first time I ever tried lumpia was at Apoy in Minneapolis and I have been dreaming of them ever since so it was a no brainer for me to order these. No regrets. 10/10 would recommend.

Funkytown: Garlic Confit Cream, Sausage, Spinach, Onion, Mushroom and Pecorino

Each one of their pizzas comes in an 8×10 shape and is “Detroit Style” which is basically rectangular deep dish and serves 1-2 people (depending on how hungry you are haha).

I ended up getting the Funkytown, because Sausage and Mushroom is always my go-to za. This was so good. I was surprised I had enough willpower to save some to bring home instead of devouring it all at once.

Flyboy: Garlic Confit Cream, Chicken, Bacon, Spicy Ranch and Scallion

My friend ordered the Flyboy and it smelled and looked amazing. Her notes were that it had the right amount of crunch, heat and spice! She was also a big fan of the parmesan crust. Yum.

Drinks:

They have a full bar, local beer and specialty cocktails available. For the life of me I cannot remember the exact name of this one and I can’t find it online, but it was something about “I see you looking at me.” Don’t come after me for committing the cardinal food blog sin and not taking a photo to remember!

Atmosphere/Service:

Like all the Stillwater restaurants, it’s a smaller restaurant so they fill up quickly. We lucked out with some spots at the bar, but it looks like they have reservations and a waitlist available on their website.

I love the vibe of the place, it’s definitely an overhaul from when it was Lolito, but still quirky in it’s own way (peep the uniforms haha).

I’m really excited to go back and try more.
