Sushi Tango Woodbury Minnesota Hipster Hack Review
Standard

Sushi dates with my momma are my favorite tradition. We normally go to Akita since it’s right down the road from my apartment, but we were both ready to try somewhere new so I was excited to finally try Sushi Tango in Tamarack Village!

Snacks:

Edamame & Spring Rolls: Freshly rolled with noodles, lettuce, carrots, cilantro and mint

Edamame is a must, but when I saw that spring rolls were on the happy hour menu and learned my mom had never tried them they were a must! I am shrimp adverse so I got them plain, but I’ll admit they definitely look way prettier with shrimp inside!

The peanut sauce was amazing.

Spicy Tuna Roll: Raw. 5 piece. Tuna, mayo, lettuce, kaiware, carrots, avocado and asparagus

Dragon Roll: Cucumber and avocado, wrapped with smoked eel and eel sauce

Spicy tuna was my choice and my mom loves eel sushi rolls so we also got the dragon roll. Both were really good and if it wasn’t super busy with a line out the door causing service to be a little slow we probably would have ordered another roll. Overall with the apps I was definitely full enough, though!

Drinks:

Tito’s Vodka + Club Soda

They have some speciality cocktails, beer and sake (of course) and if you get there before 6pm they have a happy hour menu, too!

Atmosphere/Service:

The food was good and the service was good, just a little slow. They were very busy, though so it’s not meant to be a shot against them. There was a line out the door so it is very clearly a local Woodbury favorite!
