Last Saturday we attended the annual Food Truck Extravaganza held at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Stillwater, Minnesota – even the rain couldn’t keep us away! This was our 2nd time attending – our first time was 2 years ago – and I can definitely say the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce upped their game!
My only critique is that it costs $10 per adult to get in and there isn’t really much to do other than buy food at the trucks or buy beer and sit and listen to live music so it’s not exactly a cost effective day, but for someone like me who’s happiest grazing and trying as much as I can it’s definitely worth it!
Minnesota Food Truck Reviews:

We were there about 2 hours and while I was only able to get through 5 items before my stomach tapped out – I am also sharing a couple additional items from my friends who were with us!
Yang Yumm – Mochi Cheese Dog

I’ve never had a mochi dog and these are now my new favorite thing!
I elected to get the mozzarella inside with the hot Cheetos crust… I present you with the 3 stages of glee:

KCM Eggrolls – Jumbo Eggroll on a Stick

An Eggroll-on-a-stick isn’t a new one for me, but it’s a necessary purchase everytime.
Amish Annie Donuts – Berry Blast Shake Up

Berry Blast Shake Up (Fresh squeezed lemonade Strawberries, Raspberries, Blackberries and Blueberries, made with love and shaken up to perfection 32 oz)
Husband was on a hunt to find this after falling in love with it last time. I was lucky to get a sip before he DRAINED the whole thing. The ultimate proof he loves it? He allowed me to take a photo without complaint haha.

Sambusa Samosa – Beef Samosas

We tried out some beef samosas (zero spice version because I’m a baby). Husband really enjoyed these meat pockets and I was touched that they threw in a complimentary wonton for us to try (it had a like a jalapeno cream cheese? I’m not exactly sure, but it had a kick that was delightful!)

Tot Boss – Loaded Tots

We have had the poutine ones before and I was so full, but I just couldn’t resist so I got the Loaded Tots.
Loaded Tots (scratch-made cheddar cheese sauce, bacon crumbles, sour cream and chives)
I also got a kick out of the kid handing them to me saying “enjoy responsibly” haha.
Let’s Thai It – Thai Sausage

Their food truck definitely wins for the most creative name! From Sawatdee – these are the Thai Sausages served on rice
This was ordered by my friend/sort of brother-in-law if you consider my brother-in-law’s brother related to me…(for the record he does not, but that doesn’t stop me from calling him my family loudly in public while he shakes his head at me haha). He absolutely loved them.
Cafe Cairo – Loaded Mediterranean fries

These beauties were ordered and photographed by my aforementioned non-brother-in-law’s wife aka one of my besties – Noelle.
These looked so good and although I was way too full to try any, I was assured they were delicious.
Heise Concessions – Pronto Pup

Noelle also got herself a pronto pup, because no fair is complete without one!
Beer Tent

In addition to the food trucks there was a beer tent serving up a variety of locals like Lift Bridge beer and Stilly Seltzer. Bonus for us is that my husband’s aunt was running it so we got to see (actual) family haha.
I was VERY excited to get to try the Grape Ape – it’s EXACTLY like one! So good.
And that’s a wrap!
The perfect way to kickstart the 2024 fair season!
