The last two Sundays husband and I had off together so we had two brewery hopping dates. This made me realize it’s been a while since I did any beer features over here so I thought that in addition to calling out the 4 we visited, I’d include 3 of my other favorites and throw together a list my 7 go-to Saint Paul breweries….one for every day of the week 😉.

*I understand that there are many more options, so please don’t take offense or get up in arms if your favorite isn’t on this list.

1. St. Paul Brewing

Saint Paul Brewing is my favorite brewery in Saint Paul hands down. I am 100% in love with their outdoor AND indoor space.

They are actually facing some issues with the city right now that could impact their business and that they could use support on. Check it out.

2. Lake Monster Brewing

Lake Monster Brewing Company is one we’ve been to a handful of times and we’re always pleased with the beer selection and when it is warm out it’s a great brewery to sit outside at.

They also have really good pizza next door (OG Zaza).

3. Barrel Theory

Barrel Theory is a go-to when we’re in Lowertown. The vibe is always good and so is the beer.

4. MetroNOME

MetroNOME Brewery was one of the new ones we tried. I opted for the flight and really liked both the Coal Porter and Crème Brûlée Porter.

5. Yoerg Brewing Company

I have to admit, I actually feel really stupid that I never knew this brewery existed until last weekend. Considering they are “Minnesota’s First Beer” I feel like this history shouldn’t have been lost on me.

The vibe inside was antique with a side of pub and I loved it. I also liked the Black Forest Lager.

6. Gambit Brewing Co.

Gambit Brewing was another new one for me. Because it’s located downstairs it almost feels like Cheers. Inside is a mix of lounge lighting with industrial minimalism.

7. Surly Brewing Co.

Obviously, we had to include Surly, because this is Husband’s favorite beer and he adds the Surly Beer Garden as a stop whenever we’re near.

His favorite is Surly Hell, but I really enjoyed the Rose!

That’s my list. I hope you find it helpful. CHEERS!
