I was so excited to be invited to the Grand Opening weekend of Spitz Mediterranean Street Food in Woodbury! In this household we eat gyros pretty frequently so having a location less then 5 minutes from us is going to be dangerous.
Snacks:

I changed my mind at least 3 times, but I was lucky to have husband with me so we were able to divide and conquer, but we definitely have many more on the list to try!

Mixed Street Cart Fries: Mix of sweet potato waffle and regular cut fries topped with garlic aioli, feta, onion, green pepper, tomato, olives, and pepperoncinis
The street cart fries were an immediate yes for us and I’m very pleased we went with the recommendation to do the mixed fries. I am not normally a sweet potato person, but these were absolutely incredible mixed with these flavors.

Street Cart Donar Wrap: Garlic aioli, fired lavash chips, romaine, cabbage, tomato, onion, green pepper, cucumber, tzatziki with beef and lamb
I’m a sucker for a wrap so I was waffling between the Street Cart and the Zesty Feta wrap, but at the end decided to go for the Street Cart. I am very happy with my decision. It was absolutely delicious. I would argue that it was the best item we had, but husband would probably disagree with me, because he loved his gyro 😂.

The Gyro: Zesty feta spread, Berliner Sauce, tzatziki, onion, tomato and fries inside with beef and lamb
I was originally planning to get the gyro, but when husband decided he was it freed me up to get another item since I knew he’d share 😂. The fries inside were an absolute game changer.

Happy to announce that we were members of the clean plate club. Not that there was any doubt that would happen…

Drinks:

Frozen Strawberry Margarita & Pryes Brewing Pragmatic Pils
They have margaritas, sangrias, beer and wine available. My margarita was definitely tequila heavy so don’t worry about not getting your money’s worth 😂
Atmosphere/Service:

The service was fantastic even right before their grand opening and while they were still very clearly training. The management was very on top of it and took the time to walk around and visit with their guests, which is always very appreciated. We actually learned that the only difference currently between the Woodbury and Minneapolis locations is that the Woodbury location will be offering wings and the Minneapolis location currently offers doquitos (basically a mediterranean taquito).
I also loved the Minnesota and even Woodbury specific themed wall art. The whole industrial/graffiti vibe just feels very cool.

Literally cannot wait to go back and try more. Like I said – this is going to be dangerous having it so close!
