Hope Breakfast Bar Saint Paul Minnesota Hipster Hack Review
Standard

After my sister sent me a photo of the giant pickle pretzel at Hope Breakfast Bar with a “when are we going?” message, I had a reservation booked within 5 minutes haha.

Snacks:

Giant Pickle Pretzel: Salted 3lb. pretzel spiced with pickle seasoning and served with cream cheese pickle dip

The pickle pretzel definitely lived up to our expectations. We weighed the pros and cons of just ordering that since it was more than enough food, but after looking at the menu we both found more things we wanted.

Stuffed Poblano: Poblano pepper stuffed between flour tortillas with grilled cheese and enchilada sauce, topped with an onion and pepper mix, served with seasoned hash browns & fried eggs

I love a stuffed poblano and this was the perfect mix. Granted I only ate half of it, because of I was so full from devouring a quarter of the pretzel haha, but the bites I did have were delicious.

Pork Carnitas Bowl: Slow roasted carnitas, potatoes, seasonal vegetables, cheese, green chili cream with tortilla

My sister Ashley got the carnitas bowl, specifically because she knew it would reheat well and she wasn’t going to finish it after we got the pretzel…did I mention we’re the same person? hahaha

Drinks:

Espresso Martini & Unicorn Mimosa

I was very happy Ashley got the Unicorn Mimosa because I wanted to see it AND instagram it, duh. It comes with cotton candy that you pour the Prosecco over which makes it sweet, but not too sweet.

My espresso martini was perfection, which was unsurprising, because it was last time, too.

Atmosphere/Service:

We lucked out with parking right out front which I think was because we had a later reservation (1:30pm). I would still recommend the same two things as last time:

  1. Make sure you have a reservation
  2. Show up a bit early to find parking!

Truly delicious and I would need to go 20 more times to try everything that looks good to me on the menu.
