This past weekend we hit up a new to use brewery, Wabasha Brewing Company located in the west side of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Drinks:

STRAWBERRY RHUBARB KÖLSCH FRUITED KÖLSCH: Strawberry – Rhubarb – Tart 4.8% ABV
ALTBIER ALTBIER: Bready – Roasty – Smooth 5.8% ABV

*Not Pictured*
CATHEDRAL HILL VANILLA PORTER: Vanilla – Chocolate – Smooth 5.3% ABV
BASEMENT GHOST WEST COAST IPA: Piney – Resinous – Bitter 7.3% ABV

I started with the Strawberry Rhubarb Kolsch and really liked it. I was excited to see a fruity type beer that wasn’t also a sour. Definite winner. For my second beer I moved onto the Cathedral Hill Vanilla Porter. That beer is my JAM. Possibly my favorite porter tasted to date.

Husband started with the Altbier and moved onto the Basement Ghost. He was worried that it would be fruity since it was a West Coast IPA but said it just ended up feeling light and he really enjoyed both.

Snacks:

They have food trucks available on weekends. You can see the schedule on their facebook page.

Atmosphere:

It’s a smaller brewery but the vibe was good! They do have a larger patio space when it’s nice out as well. We went around 5pm on a Saturday so the day traffic was clearing out so we lucked out finding a couple stools.

Overall, the beer was really good and I was glad we were able to check out somewhere new! We’ll definitely back during patio season.
