Husband and I had a weekday date day and decided to cross off one of his must-try’s, The French Hen, for lunch.
Snacks:

The interesting piece about The French Hen is that it is both French and Creole inspired dishes. Very New Orleans.

Quiche Lorraine: Bacon, gruyere, chives, parsley, puff pastry crust
As a non-breakfast person, I decided on the Quiche Lorraine and it was delicious. Only downside is that it is a single serving. I could have easily eaten two of these.

Catfish Benedict: Blackened catfish, fried green tomato, poached eggs*, hollandaise, collard greens made with smoked turkey
Husband stepped very outside of his comfort zone to try this catfish benedict and he was in love. He also claims these are the best collard greens he’s had to date.
Drinks:

Blood Orange & Traditional Mimosas
They have beer and wine available outside of n/a options. Since it was a date day we both opted for mimosas and I was very pleased with the blood orange flavor.
Atmosphere/Service:

It was definitely a more relaxed atmosphere and no rush to get in and out which we appreciated for a date day.

All in all a good experience with food we’d definitely want to eat again!
