Happy Hour is, without a doubt, my favorite time of day, because the food and drinks are just as great as they are at dinner, but at a fraction of the price. Combine my favorite time of the day and my favorite food and you have a simple equation:
Happy Hour + Tacos = Barrio
Atmosphere:
This is where you go for an upscale authentic taco. The place may be classy, but the food is still the same great flavors as a taco truck….which they have!
Food:
Happy Hour means that select menu items are generally offered at a discounted price. I ordered the Quesadillas as well as some guacamole & chips.
The guacamole is beyond delicious. They do a great job seasoning it and the color is a bright and vibrant green. The homemade chips are also salted to perfection.
The Quesadilla was also pretty good. It’s hard to plate a quesadilla and make it look anything other than messy, but the taste was definitely delicious.
Drinks:
Barrio is known for their tequila, which makes total sense considering they’re a Mexican restaurant. I ordered the “Mama Cita,” which is a Hibiscus margarita made with pineapple and orange juices, traditional blanco and a splash of cava. It definitely went down quickly and I had to pace myself with water before ordering another one.
