I’ve been wanting to try STEPCHLD for a while so I was excited when I was able to make dinner plans with my friend to check it out.
I miss living in Northeast Minneapolis so much and it’s places like this that are why.
Appetizer:

Burrata: Za’atar, orange oil, pistachio, rose, chapati
I love burrata so much. It’s one of my absolute favorite cheeses so I had to get this appetizer. I loved the combination of flavors and the cheese was perfectly gooey. I’ve also never had chapati before, so I had to look up what it is (Indian flatbreat) but it was really good and I would definitely get it again.
Main Course:

Wagyu Sugo Meatballs: With Challah bread
I was teetering beween a few different options, but ultimately settled on the meatballs. This was the right choice. Definitely would recommend.
Dessert:

Flourless Chocolate Torte
If you find it easy to say no to dessert, I’m not sure you’re the right dinner companion for me haha. I was full, but I had to try it and it was GOOD.
Drinks:

Indeed Pistachio Cream Ale
They serve a selection of local craft beers and wines. As we all know I am a Tito’s person, but I do love Indeed beers so I was happy with my selection.
Atmosphere/Service:

Not having been back to this are of Northeast in a couple years it was crazy to see the change and all the high rise buildings. Parking isn’t exactly easy, but there is plenty of paid street parking around!

I was obsessed with the interior and was excited to see the custom letters by Ben Hering in person!
5 stars.
