My husband’s family lives in Lakeland so we’re down there quite a lot, but for some reason there is such a high turnover of restaurants in that area. La Maria Taqueria is a new restaurant in Lakeland, Minnesota that opened earlier this year. They actually have had a long standing food truck in Lake Elmo which is raved about so that made it even more exciting!
Food:

We were in a hurry so we both picked a Quesadilla to try. He had the Pastor and I had the Carnitas
You can pick from their meats:
- Pastor (marinated pork)
- Asada (steak)
- Chorizo (Spanish pork sausage)
- Carnitas (Pork)
- Barbacoa (marinated beef)
- Tinga (chicken mixed with chipotle chiles in adobe)

In addition to quesadillas they also have burritos, tortas, tacos and on Saturdays they have Pozole de Puerco!
Drinks wise they sell soft drinks and a variety of other N/A beverages.
Atmosphere/Service:

The storefront they took over actually used to be a Subway so you’ll see some familiar furnishings! The food was quick, the service was great, and we’re excited to go back to try more!
