I did my first review of Hazelwood Food & Drink back in December when they had recently opened, so it felt fitting that 8 months later we should visit again and see if it was still living up to the hype!
Appetizer:

Brie Cheese Curds: Light crispy batter, lingonberry ketchup
I had to get the brie cheese curds again and they were just as epic as I remembered. Perfectly gooey, perfectly golden….I’m drooling right now.
Main Course:

Lobster Mac & Cheese: Maine lobster meat, lobster bisque, mozzarella, provolone, tillamook cheddar, caramelized onions, potato chip crust, chives
I have been craving macaroni & cheese and lobster mac is my weakness so when husband saw it on the menu he excitedly pointed it out to me knowing there was need for me to waste my time looking at other things haha. It was really good. Only complaint is that there should be more lobster. Duh!

Split Bone Ribeye: 22 oz bone in, garlic butter, au jus, smoked gouda hash browns
Once again, husband was very pleased with how perfectly his steak was cooked and the gouda hash browns are out of this world, especially after they’ve soaked up the au jus.
Drinks:

Bulleit Rye Old Fashioned + Pom Mule (Tito’s vodka, pomegranate juice, lemon juice, agave, lemon wedge)
I was a little bummed they didn’t have an espresso martini, but my Pom Mule was really good.
Atmosphere/Service
The main difference between our visit this time and last time was service. Our server was great and really personable, but he was clearly very busy so our service was slower. However, compared to last time when they were very obviously trying to get people in and out and flip tables as quickly as possible it was nice not to feel pressured to rush through our meals.
Final verdict: it very much still lives up to the hype. Still 4 stars.
