The Coffee Shop NE is the perfect place to post up on a Sunday morning with your laptop and get caught up on freelance work or even knock out some blogs.
Food:
Before McDonald’s made it a publicity stunt, The Coffee Shop NE was already serving breakfast all day long. Their breakfast menu offers bagels, eggels (bagel & egg sandwiches), egg bowls, and quiche.
I had an eggel, because duh, on a plain bagel. I do regret not stepping father out of my bagel comfort zone, however.
They do also offer a variety of deli sandwiches, salads, and wraps for lunch.
Drinks:
Per usual, I enjoyed an iced vanilla latte (#BasicBitch), but they offer a wide variety of cold and hot coffee selections, signature drinks, and “not coffee,” which is a fun way of talking about teas, cocoa, and sodas.
They use certified fair-trade organic coffee and have dones so since they opened in June 2010.
Service:
Friendly, fast service. 4 stars.
Atmosphere:
There were a couple different sections of seats, but the overall place isn’t too large, so I did luck out with a table of my own.
They do also host a couple of events like open mics and writer’s reads. Their calendar is on their website HERE.
I enjoyed my coffee and I was able to hash out quite a bit of work, which makes this place a win in my book.
