Saint Paul Brewing is my absolute favorite patio. I know it sounds made up or ridiculous, but the first time we went there last year, I felt a rush of pure joy that has only happened to me a handful of other times like when I heard my favorite song performed by my favorite band live, when I was about to jump out of a plane with a human strapped onto my back, and when we secured our wedding venue and it hit me that we were actually getting married.
Don’t get me wrong, the beer is really good, too haha, but without a doubt, my obsession with this brewery revolves around the joy and wonder their patio gives me.
The photos don’t do the patio justice so you can click on the photo below or the link HERE to get my instagram tour.
I don’t know what it is about the patio specifically that makes me so damn happy. It could be that for as long as I can remember when my mom has drug me to antique stores she’s always said, “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure,” and I’ve never understood how junk was more than just junk until now. It could be that in the current brewery taproom world of exposed brick and industrial vibes, it’s refreshing to see color and art installations you can actually touch, or it could just be that you get to feel like a kid again while doing something adult. At the end of the day, the reason doesn’t matter, what matters is how much damn fun their patio is.
Dogs obviously welcome!
“Our spacious 8,000 square foot patio is set in the ruins of the site’s former company stable and can seat nearly 200 people. Vignette seating areas are packed with bohemian personality and feature vintage decor, art, and seasonal plantings. This one-of-a-kind setting is just right for meet-ups with friends and family, and is the perfect spot to bring an out of town guest to show them something wonderful about Saint Paul.
Simply put, there’s nowhere like it!”
