I previously reviewed Brick & Bourbon back in 2020, but we recently went for date night so it felt like a good time to refresh!
Food:
Duck Bacon Wontons
This appetizer is a must get for us. We absolutely love it.
Lobster Mac & Cheese:
They had a whole section devoted to different mac & cheese options, which I love, because that means it’s actually good and not an afterthought. I cannot resist a lobster mac.
The Next Day Burger
Husband had the Next Day Burger with overeasy egg. He was surprised to see toast vs a bun, but he said it was still good, just more of a patty melt style. He also (at my insistence) upgraded to the parmesan garlic fries so I could have some – they were delicious.
Drinks:
Espresso Yo Self Martini and Old Fashioned
The Espresso Martini is made of Grind Coffee Rum, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueer, Caroline’s Irish Cream, Chameleon Cold Press Coffee. It was on the chocolate side vs. the espresso side, but I still enjoyed it and had two. Husband had the Old Fashioned (Woodford Double Oaked Bourbon, House Made Syrup, Angostura).
Atmosphere/Service:
We went at 6pm on a Thursday night after throwing axes at The Lumberack down the street and there was plenty of room at the bar. They did pick up with reservations shortly after we got there, though. So I’d say if you’re going without a reservation, aim for earlier dinner.
Our server was the bartender who was very attentive and the food and drinks were great.
