I’ve had a couple friends tell me I needed to get to the CrowBar pop-up bar in the old Hamm’s Brewery and after looking into it I couldn’t agree more.
The CrowBar is a cocktail lounge by Voliere Spirits, the first all-women owned whiskey distillery in Minnesota. Read below for more.
Drinks:

Their cocktail menu theme is Mean Girls and it is a vibe. Between husband and I we tried 4 different cocktails so breaking them all out below along with the photos from the cocktail menu burn book, because they are just great. Although not listed on the menu, all cocktails feature Voliere spirits.
OMG Karen, you can’t just ask people why they’re white: Vodka, coffee liqueur, caramelized banana syrup, oat milk
The OMG Karen was the cocktail I was most excited about because of my obsession with any type of coffee cocktail and I had two haha. I also want these little milk carton glasses for my own house they’re so cute.
I’ve got a big lesbian crush on you: Vodka, limoncello, blueberry-thyme syrup, lemon, soda, sky blue-lychee pearls
This was husband’s cocktail, but of course I tried it. I really like the taste of it but we both joked that you had to be on your game when drinking it because the lychees come through the straw and you have to be ready to swallow hahaha.

Boo you whore: Nectarine rested rye, graines of paradies, demerara, roasted marshmellow
Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin: Butter fat washed light rum, muffin syrup, dark rum, lemon, blueberry syrup, lemon
Husband actually got a normal old fashioned for his first round, but then at the server’s suggestion decided to try out the Boo you whore. I did not like it, but that’s because I don’t enjoy whiskey haha. He did like it!
For my 3rd drink I tried out the butter your muffin drink which tasted like blueberry pancakes. The server actually explained that they utilized a specific enzyme that breaks down the muffin into a liquid. Women in STEM forever. Men could never haha.
Food:

The Big Dill: House-made dough, dill cream sauce, fresh mozzarella, bacon, house-made pickles, finished with dill cream drizzle and dill dry rub
In addition to being neighbors with my favorite brewery, Saint Paul Brewing, you can actually order food from them through a QR code on your table and they’ll deliver it right to you. This made me ecstatic because I cannot turn down their pickle pizza. Always a 10/10 and we also got a side of fries.
The menu available is not the full menu, so the full list below may not be accurate.
Atmosphere/Service:

Although they have more character (we’ll get to that below) they hold true to the dark and moody cocktail lounge vibe I love. They do also offer outdoor seating.
We visited around 7pm on a Saturday night and were seated immediately inside, but by the time we left the place was full. In addition to the fun theme they did also have a “confessional” room which made my younger self who got through Round 2 of Real World auditions so happy because people are able to go in there and print out a sheet of paper and leave behind their secret for others to enjoy. I spent quite a few minutes in there and I barely made a dent lol. It was wild[ly entertaining].
Our server was great and super helpful and I’m excited to go back with my sisters soon.
