Espresso martinis are my love language, my favorite little girl’s night treat, and usually the way husband can determine solely by looking at a menu if it’s a restaurant I will enjoy haha.

A couple years ago I shared some of my favorite martinis in the Twin Cities, and while a couple on the list are still accurate, I thought I’d do a 2026 update.

1. The Briar – Northeast Minneapolis, MN

Espresso Martini: vodka, espresso, mr. black, luxardo espresso, benedictine

As a cafe during the day, they have actual espresso giving this the correct amount of bitter. One of the best I’ve tasted in a while.

Espresso Martini: Vanilla Vodka, Kahlua, Cuppa More Pages Cold Brew

I wasn’t expecting to find an espresso martini at a brewery, so I was very pleased to find it actually good! I did not add the boozy whip, but I should have.

3. Cobble Social House – Saint Paul, MN

Espresso Martini: vodka, misfit cold press (mpls), amaro, demerara, brownie batter bitters

I am not usually someone that enjoys a chocolatey version of an espresso martini, but the brownie batter bitters added something really great.

4. Earl Giles – Northeast Minneapolis, MN

Espresso Martini: Vodka, Coffee Concentrate, Cinnamon, Chipotel Cacao Bitters

First off – the beans have glitter. What a perfect girl’s girl bev haha. Second, the subtle hint of cinnamon was different and I really enjoyed it, which was a surprise for me personally, since I was dumb enough in college to let some guys convince me into doing the cinnamon challenge which truly almost killed me and it took years to be able to enter a craft store over the holidays without dry heaving.

5. Northern Taphouse – Woodbury, MN

Espresso Martini: Vanilla vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, demerara sugar, chocolate bitters

This is my favorite go-to neighborhood espresso martini. It also pairs well with dill cheese curds hahaha.
