Eli’s Food And Cocktails East location was the best midnight food decision we’ve made in a long time for two main reasons; the place had about 10 people in it, which meant instant service (not surprising since this is a lounge set up and it was midnight on a Saturday), and the full kitchen stays open until 1am.
I had the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted in my life: Turkey & Brie sandwich which comes with assorted greens, apples, and a delicious smoked paprika aioli. I had mine on gluten-free bread which only cost $1 extra, which is actually really cheap compared to most places who have gluten free options. I wish I would have taken a photo to instagram it’s deliciousness (UPDATE: Photo has been added from a follow up research mission…), but as I said it was 1am and we had other things on our mind…like an attempted crowd sing-a-long to “Build Me Up Buttercup…” Evidence below:
My roommate had a California Burger, which is topped with Avacados, lettuce, tomato, and red onion. She said it was delicious and that she could “taste the char.”
Their tots were also probably the best I’ve ever had and I’m a self-sanctioned “tot connoisseur. ”
They have a nice variety of beers on tap and my drink was delicious and strong at the same time.
So great. Our bartender, Richy, was friendly, efficient, and funny. We may have exchanged some pirate jokes and his was pretty good:
“What’s a Pirate’s favorite letter?”
-P… It’s an Rrrrr with a peg leg
All in all, we had a really great experience and I definitely want to go back another time when we can experience the patio/deck and get the feel for the normal crowd.
