This hack for El Taco Riendo is extremely over due, considering I mentioned it months ago, for those of you who are loyal subscribers (Thanks, Mom) you may remember that El Taco Riendo was the place I ordered from using the delivery service, Bite Squad, but for those of you who don’t you can read it HERE.
Food:
This post is going to be solely about their food and I have to admit I’m not upset about it, considering there is nothing I find as important as being able to have Mexican food delivered to my door (minor exaggeration).
Tamale:
The Chimichanga was listed as their most popular item, but I wanted to try one of their traditional dishes, thus the Chicken Tamales. It also sounded the most gluten free being made out of cornmeal dough and then baked in corn husks. It was pretty good and filling.
3.5/5 Stars.
Chile Relleno:
I also wanted to try a dish I’d never had before and since I have an affinity for stuffed peppers, the Chile Relleno sounded like the right option.
“Sweet poblano pepper stuffed with your choice of meat or cheese with rice, beans and corn tortillas.”
I, unfortunately, have a middle school understanding of Spanish, so I was a little intimidated trying to decide on my meat option until I realized they have a meat chart on their website – check it out.
For those of you curious, I went with Pollo en Salsa Entomatada (not spicy chicken).
3.5/5 Stars
Guacamole:
Not too much spice and just the right amount of chunk, their guacamole was definitely worth the cost and it was dirt cheap.
4/5 Stars.
Verdict: I’d order from them again, because the food was really good and there menu is pretty expansive. But (besides the guacamole) there wasn’t anything that I was obsessed with.
