Adelita’s Mexican Restaurant is only a mile from my house? This is going to get dangerous.

Food:

The Adelita’s menu was full of all my favorite things, so I couldn’t make up my mind. At the waitresses suggestion I ordered the chicken chimichanga, which was absolute perfection.

To be fair, I am from Minnesota where deep-fried everything reigns supreme (Minnesota State Fair), but I, honestly, don’t know what’s not to like about a deep fried burrito filled with beans, rice, and everything nice!

Out of our party of approximately 15 I’d say 7 of us got a form of the chimichanga. Clearly a crowd favorite.

Drinks:

There is only one thing that can make a margarita better than it is; mango. This mango margarita was so delicious. It was definitely potent, but not unpalatable. I may have had two…

Service:

We had a pretty large group for our friend Courtney’s birthday so service was, naturally, a little slow, but they actually assigned two servers to our table which really helped the refill process along (clearly we needed that).

The best part was that they played a Happy Birthday song that they had forgot they forgot to turn off for a solid 5 minutes, so it just kept looping. We recieved quite a few raised eyebrow looks as we continued to clap along for the duration, but hey, sorry for partying? I never had so much rhythmic clapping in my life haha.

Atmosphere:

The restaurant was a lot larger than I expected based upon it’s location. In addition to the two dining sections it also has a smaller bar area and was pretty open and inviting.

All in all a great time was had by all and I saw on their website that they have weekend karaoke…sold.
