I love the vibe at Parlour Bar and in fact have been to both the Minneapolis and the Saint Paul locations for cocktails. However, it was becoming quite apparent that I’ve been doing myself a disservice by not having ever eaten their burger. there.

Parlour Burger: Ground chuck, ribeye, and brisket with white American cheddar on an egg bun

Over the years of trying new places and writing this blog, I’ve continually been asked if I’ve had a Parlous Burger yet. After trying it I can safely say that this praise is 100% warranted.

I’ve never had this mixture of meats before and it is delicious. My understanding is that at the Saint Paul location you are also able to add bacon to the burger, but the Saint Paul location sticks to the original.

Parlour Bar Minneapolis Fries

Hand Cut Fries served with Swiss Aoili

The burgers don’t come with any sides, so at the recommendation of one of the coworkers I was there with we got a couple sides of fries for the table, too. They’re pretty large, so a side of fries can safely feed 2-3 people. The swiss aoili is an absolute must.

Parlour Bar Minneapolis Cocktails

Forest of Illusion: Gin, Strawberry-Hibiscus Cordial, Lime, Peach, Spices

They have so many great flavor profiles available on their craft cocktail menu and I’ve tried a lot of them over the years! If you like gin, I highly recommend trying this one out!

Service:

Parlour Bar Minneapolis

We were immediately welcomed when we walked in. We got there right around 5:30 since we were coming after work and I have to say we lucked out because we beat the rush and were actually able to grab two tables to fit all 5 of us.

Our server was great and had some great insight on the cocktails and on a couple of the menu items.

Atmosphere:

Parlour Bar Minneapolis Speakeasy

I love the prohibition feel of this bar. First of all it’s in a basement so you have to find the illuminated “Cocktails” sign to really even know where you’re going. Then, once you get downstairs there is a little lounge area then the bar and in the back some tables with cushions and window seat benches for seating.
