Brunch is my favorite weekend pasttime, so when it was suggested that a group of us should meet at Urban Eatery for bloodies and brunch I was beyond ecstatic.
Drinks:
While they did have a Bloody Mary Bar, I was struggling that morning and decided that it was better for everyone involved if it came to me pre-made. It was delicious. Just enough flavor and spice to make it memorable, but not too much for me to not enjoy it. It also comes with garnish, and since it took our group a while to stop talking long enough to look at the menu and actually order, the snacks were much needed haha.
Food:
Like I said, it took us a while to be able to order, so I took it upon myself to order us some guacamole. Not only was the presentation gorgeous, but it was exactly what I needed. Perfect seasoning, consistency, and color.
For my actual meal I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich: fried egg, sausage, bacon, tomato, jalapeno, cheese fondue, croissant bun, and served with tater tots. Delicious.
Service:
Our server was great, especially considering he had to come back 3 times before everyone was ready to order.
Atmosphere:
I got there first and got us a patio table since it was such a gorgeous day and in Minnesota you need to soak those in as much as possible.
Luckily we got there when we did, because within 20 minutes it was completely full.
Parking:
Parking can be a hassle, because it’s right across from Lake Calhoun. They do validate parking for a small fee, which is cheaper than the ramp price.
Overall, it was a good morning with some great food and people!
