I was excited to have an impromptu brunch with my friend Lisa when we both happened to be in Woodbury at the same time and I was even more excited when she suggested The New Woodbury Cafe since I had not been there yet.
Food:
I’ve been a little burnt out on brunch lately, because I’m not an egg person. I wasn’t positive I would want a dessert waffle for breakfast, but I have to admit it was the best decision I’ve made in a while.
Caramel Apple Crisp Waffle: Topped with cooked cinnamon apple chunks, caramel, whipped cream, and sprinkled with housemade granola and cinnamon sugar
I also ordered a side of fruit and was so excited to see their “Seasonal variety” included a lot of berries and not cantalope and melon like most places. Lisa got the Eggs Benedict and was a big fan.
Service/Atmosphere:
It was pretty packed, but we were seated within about 10 minutes. There was a party of 5 before us that were turned away due to how long it would have taken to accommodate a group of that size, so definitely be warned.
Service was quick and the food was good. I’d definitely recommend!
