While Northeast does have many things, one thing that seems pretty lacking is Sports Bars. Besides Stanley’s, every other location is pretty dive or niche. So the triumphant opening of Bunny’s Bar & Grill NE was actually pretty exciting, not to mention their location in St. Louis Park has such a cult following from many of my suburb friends.
Having opened the week before Superbowl Sunday, they were not only my choice location to explain Football to our visiting British friend, but they were also my choice place to celebrate Adult Easter (seemed fitting) and continue to remain one of my favorite weekend beverage destinations.
Drinks:
Personal favorite would be the Bunny’s Mule, closely followed by my go to of Rum & Coke. They have a pretty extensive tap list with a lot of Northeast beers, which is a great way to make sure they’re welcomed by the locals. You can see their full tap list HERE.
Food:
Sandwiches are my life, and a good club sandwich is orgasm inducing in my book. Their club falls on that list.
They also offer up some delicious weekly specials and hearty favorites like Meatloaf, a French Dip sandwich, and Pan Fried Walleye, pizzas, burgers, salads, and dependable bar apps. They do also serve breakfast, and I really do mean breakfast. It ends at 11am on weekdays and noon on weekends. None of that 3am egg life here.
Pro Tip:

Complementary Weekday Happy Hour Food

Service:
Always friendly, always quick, and it’s never been too crowded when I’ve gone, which means to me it’s still a semi hidden gem, which makes part of me reluctant to share this post, since the last thing I want is a line.
Atmosphere:
It fits in with the asthetic of the neighborhood. High ceilings and lost of booth and bar seating. I will say that getting to the bathroom is a pain since it’s located downstairs in the building…either prepare to bring breadcrumbs the first time, because the following the signs brings you on quite the path, or just skip the hassle and take the elevator since it’s right next to it below.
