What better day to be a Maynards first timer than on the 4th of July to sit on the patio!

2025 Food and Drink Review | Duluth, MN
StandardHusband and I were planning a trip to Duluth, Minnesota, but we only had about 36 hours to spend, so I went on a mission to find some of the best rated breweries, distilleries and city spots to check out.
We didn’t make it everywhere, but truthfully you can only eat and drink so much in such a short amount of time haha so below I’m sharing the spots we went (spoiler alert, I would recommend every single one of them).
Continue readingBrick & Bourbon | Stillwater, MN
StandardI previously reviewed Brick & Bourbon back in 2020, but we recently went for date night so it felt like a good time to refresh!
Continue readingOlive & Lamb | Northeast Minneapolis, MN
StandardLast Friday I had a Northeast Minneapolis girls night with some friends starting with dinner at Olive & Lamb and ending at some of the local Northeast establishments for cocktails.
This was my first time eating at Olive & Lamb and actually gave me a strong sense of nostalgia as I used to live a few blocks from that building and had been there for lunch when it was a deli…I miss that neighborhood!
Continue readingAngelina’s Kitchen | Woodbury, MN
StandardAngelina’s Kitchen in Woodbury was actually one of mine and husband’s first date night spots back when he was trying to impress me so it was fun to go back and revisit now after over 2 years of marriage.
Continue readingManger Restaurant | Bayport, MN
StandardHusband loves French cuisine so Manger Restaurant & Wine Bar in Bayport, pronounced “mon-g” and meaning “eat” in French, has been on our list for a while. We decided to celebrate an early Valentine’s Day with a dinner reservation last week and I’m excited to share!
Continue readingThe French Hen | Saint Paul, MN
StandardHusband and I had a weekday date day and decided to cross off one of his must-try’s, The French Hen, for lunch.
Continue readingMinari | Northeast Minneapolis, MN
StandardMy friend Mikayla invited me along to her girl’s night dinner at Minari and I was ecstatic, because on top of it’s only been open a short while and already having heard such amazing things, it’s gives me great joy to head back to my old Northeast Minneapolis neighborhood.
I’m happy to report that this trip was well worth it.
Continue readingFavorite Foods of 2024 | Twin Cities, MN
StandardLast year I did a recap of my 12 favorite foods for 12 months and it was so fun I had to do it again for foods of 2024.
Sharing in no particular order…
Continue readingBuca di Beppo | Saint Paul, MN
StandardHusband and I were invited to Buca di Beppo in St. Paul to try out their menu and learn more about the history of their company and the history of that location’s building…including some ghost stories 👻.*
Buca di Beppo is a national chain that actually started in a basement in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their humble beginnings were actually the inspiration behind the name, with Buca di Beppo translating roughly to “Joe’s small place,” in Italian.
*I do want to add a disclaimer that while I was gifted a dinner experience, my review and thoughts are my own.
See pictures of everything we tried below.
