Spoiler Alert: They did not disappoint.
Continue readingI was invited to the Taco John’s Innovation Kitchen located in St. Louis Park to try my hand at making their limited time offer 10″ Taco Pizza and when I tell you I was internally freaking out I am not lying haha.
Continue readingCheese and sandwiches are two of my favorite foods so of course I’m obsessed with National Grilled Cheese Day. I’ll admit that lately my favorite grilled cheese sandwiches are made by my husband (his are honestly ELITE), but for those of you without a live in home chef who understands that there is really never enough cheese ð I thought I’d share my top 5 ð§ over the years in the Twin Cities!
And as an added bonus, you can scroll to the bottom for the Distastefully Tommy recipe ð
Continue readingI first reviewed Howe Daily Kitchen & Bar in 2019 and then again for their dog friendly menu later that year, but I felt like it was about time for an update!
Continue readingI thought I’d try something a little different and do a recap of my 12 favorite foods for 12 months of 2023!
I go out pretty frequently, but sometimes it’s just drinks and an app or somewhere I’ve been before so it doesn’t always make sense to do a full on Hipster Hack review. In this format I’ll be able to highlight some of those other places that make foods I adore!

Continue readingIf lobster mac was a personality trait, my enneagram would be “The Eater.” I’ve been a loyal customer of the North Loop Smack Shack for years so when I found out my friend was flying into town from Texas, Smack Shack Bloomington was the perfect way to remind him that he made the wrong choice by moving ðĪŠ.
Continue readingI’ve been to LITT Pinball Bar a few times over the years so it seemed like the perfect day date adventure for my birthday!
I’m very pro activities associated with childhood being reclaimed as acceptable adult activities. I have to confess that the first time I went to LITT was back when it had recently opened as TILT. I was there to meet up with a tinder date and was optimistic, yet very skeptical, that it would be fun because I personally find Up-Down to be overwhelming (super crowded and not a lot of moving room), but I am happy to report I was wrong. He may not have been right for me*, but LITT sure was ð.
Continue readingHusband orchestrated an impromptu adventure day for us for my Birthday a couple Sundays ago which ended with us getting a last minute reservation at The Butcher’s Tale in Minneapolis… the perfect end to the day!
Continue readingLike basically every other Minnesotan, we wanted to try Wrecktangle Pizza hot off their win on the Good Morning America Ultimate Pizza competition. The closest location to us is at The Market at Malcolm Yards, which was an added bonus for me, because I have been wanting to try out this food hall for a while.
We assumed that it would be a bit of a wait for pizza (which it was) so it was great to also have so many other options to snack on.
