There is hanging out at a coffee shop and then there is Edwards Dessert Kitchen. I’ve been to some really stunning coffee shops, and while I know this probably doesn’t classify as a “coffee shop,” that vibe feels like it fits more than what you would expect at a traditional bakery. It’s not only adorable inside and home of some amazing coffee (and I’m assured amazing sweets), it is now my new favorite place to take a mid-day field trip.
Food:
Cookies, Ice Cream, Pastries – Oh my!
They make their desserts fresh daily. My coworkers swear by their cookies which are HUGE and they also have a weekend brunch menu (found HERE).
As I’ve said before, I’ve recently gone keto so I wasn’t able to partake, but dear lord was I tempted when I saw the ice cream. I will definitely be trying out their cheese plate on my next visit, though.
Drinks:
I ordered a cold coffee and added some heavy whipping cream, which was served in this glass and I kid you not, there is nothing better than pretending you’re drinking a beer at 2pm on a Wednesday across the table from your boss haha (well, except maybe actually drinking a beer).
Speaking of beer….they do actually have a liquor menu as well. They have some draught beers and wines, and also partner with Tattersall Distilling (one of my favorites) for their cocktail menu. I’m seriously obsessed with their vibe.
Service/Atmosphere:
There are some cute high top and low tops areas, a cute little sitting area, and I love the velvet and warehouse vibe of the place.
The service was perfect. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and you can tell they really love being there. The only thing is that they’re not open until 2PM during the week so when I call it the perfect afternoon stop I really do mean afternoon. I highly suggest going to check this place out.
